Welcome Bags

Welcome bags are perfect for a Bald Head Island wedding. All of your guests are from out of town and a welcome bag will make them feel right at home during your wedding weekend. Through the years, I have seen wonderful ideas for welcome bags where the couple really added their creative twist to the items in the bag.

A few essential items for a welcome bag are:

Flashlights
Once the sun sets, it is pitch black on the island with no cart path lights. This can be dangerous and scary for those that are not familiar with the island. Flashlights are also very helpful when trying to find your golf cart after a late rehearsal or wedding night!
Beach Items
Monogrammed beach towels, a deck of playing cards, a set of bocce balls, sunscreen, bug spray, lip balm, and hats are all great items to include in a welcome bag for your guests.
Golf Cart Magnets
This is another one of those items that can be a life saver for your guests! In a sea of golf carts that look identical, and all golf cart keys being the same, this can create major problems if guests grab the wrong cart. Create a magnet showcasing your wedding theme with your guests name displayed.
Snacks and Drinks
Dried fruit, nuts, granola bars, trail mix, and crackers are great items to have in welcome bags or add your favorite foods. From Krispy Kreme donuts and homemade cheese straws, snacks are a must in a welcome bag. Guests will be well fed the weekend of your wedding, but in their down time, these treats will come in handy so they don't have to venture to the market. Bottled water, wine, and champagne are also nice touches to a welcome bag.
More details about Bald Head Island
For many of your guests, this is their first time on the island. A detailed list of times and locations for your weekend events is a must. Include a map of the island to ensure that they are in the right place at the right time.
If you need assistance in locating these items or putting welcome bags together, just let us know! We are here to help and look forward to being a part of your wedding!
